Two Found Dead in Jefferson County Home During Welfare Check

Strawberry Plains, TN — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the deaths of two individuals discovered during a welfare check at a residence in Strawberry Plains on Friday morning.

At approximately 11:40 a.m. on April 11, deputies were called to a home on Hamilton Street to perform a welfare check. Upon entering the residence, officers found two people deceased.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has since launched an investigation, with assistance from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI). Authorities are working to determine the cause of death and the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The identities of the deceased have not yet been released pending notification of next of kin. The investigation is ongoing, and no further details have been provided at this time.

Anyone with information related to the case is urged to contact the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office or the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
