Kingsport, TN – The Kingsport Police Department is investigating a double homicide after two people were found shot in a home on Tiffany Court on December 28. The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m., prompting officers to respond to a call regarding a disturbance at the residence.

According to Corporal Brandon Johnson, when officers arrived at the scene, they were informed that a third person had entered the home before their arrival and discovered two unresponsive individuals inside. The victims, a man from Johnson City and a woman from Oak Ridge, were both found with apparent gunshot wounds.

Medical personnel who arrived on the scene pronounced both individuals dead. During the investigation, police discovered a firearm within the home. As of now, authorities believe the deaths were the result of gunshot wounds, although further investigation is underway.

The names of the victims have not yet been released pending notification of next of kin. Police are continuing to gather information and are asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

The investigation is ongoing, and officials have not ruled out any possibilities regarding the motive or circumstances surrounding the shooting. The Kingsport Police Department is working closely with other local law enforcement agencies as they continue to piece together the details of this tragic event.
