MARYVILLE, Tenn. — As the Rock the Country Festival approaches, Blount County officials are warning residents and visitors about potential traffic delays in the Greenback area. The festival, which is set to take place at Maple Lane Farms on Friday, April 25, and Saturday, April 26, is expected to draw large crowds, with event organizers anticipating 12,000 to 15,000 attendees each day.

Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong issued a statement advising motorists to prepare for significant traffic disruptions, particularly in the vicinity of the festival grounds. According to the sheriff’s office, traffic impacts will begin as early as Thursday, April 24, and continue through Sunday, April 27, as attendees travel to and from the event.

Deputies will be stationed at key intersections throughout the area, including Henry Lane, Morganton Road, Maple Lane, Lambert Road, Gregory Road, and Meadow Road, to manage the flow of traffic and ensure safety. Major delays are expected, especially on Friday and Saturday as concertgoers arrive for the performances.

The festival’s schedule includes a highly anticipated show by Nickelback on Friday night, which is slated to wrap up at 11 p.m. Saturday will see Kid Rock headline the event, with festivities concluding around 11:20 p.m.

For those planning to attend or pass through the area, officials are urging the public to allow extra travel time and be prepared for congestion. With thousands of people expected to converge on Greenback, navigating the area may take longer than usual, and alternate routes may be necessary for those looking to avoid the heavy traffic around Maple Lane Farms.
