Maryville, TN – The Maryville Police Department is alerting the community about a circulating scam involving fake “Mobile Escort Orders” for allegedly failing to appear in court.

Scammers instruct victims to pay fines or bonds to avoid arrest, sometimes providing false paperwork that appears to come from the U.S. District Court.

Residents are warned:

  1. Do not click on any links in these messages.

  2. Do not provide personal information or payment.

  3. Do not download any apps sent by the scammers.

  4. Report any suspicious messages to your local police department.

The department urges the public to stay vigilant and share this information to prevent others from falling victim. For questions or concerns, contact the Maryville Police Department directly.
