Knoxville Police Seek Public’s Help to Identify Suspect in Apartment Assault

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Police Department (KPD) is requesting assistance from the public in identifying a man wanted in connection with an assault that occurred early Saturday morning at an apartment complex on Cumberland Avenue.

According to KPD, a 20-year-old woman was reportedly assaulted at Union Knoxville, suffering significant injuries to her face. She was transported to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital for medical treatment following the incident.

Authorities believe the suspect’s first name may be Jackson, though further identifying details have not been released. Police urge anyone with information about the suspect or the incident to contact East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers.

Crime Stoppers offers multiple anonymous ways for tipsters to provide information, including calling 865-215-7165, texting TIPS, submitting tips online at www.easttnvalleycrimestoppers.org, using the free mobile app P3 Tips, or reaching out through the East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers Facebook page. Individuals who provide information may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.

The Knoxville Police Department continues to investigate the assault and encourages the community to assist in bringing those responsible to justice.
