Assistant District Attorney Charged with Assault in Rutherford County

Maryville, Tenn. — An assistant district attorney has been charged following allegations of multiple assaults against a woman in Rutherford County, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).

The TBI began investigating the case on Tuesday after receiving reports of domestic and aggravated assault. The agency determined that Assistant District Attorney Quinn Rodriguez allegedly assaulted a woman multiple times during the incidents.

According to the TBI, Rodriguez is accused of brandishing a firearm, threatening to kill the victim, and striking her with a weapon during one of the assaults.

Authorities have not released further details regarding the circumstances of the alleged incidents or the current status of Rodriguez’s employment.

The investigation remains ongoing, and the TBI has urged anyone with additional information to come forward.
