Two Dead in Sevier County House Fire; Investigation Underway

Maryville, TN — Two people have died following a house fire in Sevier County, authorities confirmed. The fire broke out around 9:30 a.m. near South Flat Creek Road on [date not provided]. Emergency crews arrived on the scene to find the home fully engulfed in flames.

Officials have not yet released the names of the victims, nor have they determined the cause of the fire. The Sevier County Fire Marshal’s Office, along with the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), have launched an investigation into the incident.

“The thoughts and prayers of Sevier County officials and emergency responders are with the family and all those affected by this heartbreaking incident,” said Tyler Basler, a spokesperson for Sevier County.

At this time, the fire’s origin remains unclear, and authorities are working to gather more information. Investigators are combing through the remains of the house, hoping to identify the cause and circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

As of now, no further details have been released, but officials have assured the public that more information will be provided as the investigation progresses.

The loss of life in this tragic event has left the community in mourning, and local authorities are offering support to the victims’ families during this difficult time.
