Blount County Sheriff’s Office Issues Warning for Hazardous Roads Following Rock The Country Festival

GREENBACK, Tenn. — The Blount County Sheriff’s Office is advising drivers to exercise caution when traveling in the vicinity of Maple Lane Farms, following the Rock The Country music festival held last weekend. The event, which saw thousands of attendees over the two-day festival, featured performances by Kid Rock and Nickelback.

Heavy rainfall throughout the weekend has left roads in the area, particularly Maple Lane, Lambert Road, and Gregory Road, significantly impacted by mud and debris. According to the Sheriff’s Office, these conditions are posing a hazard to motorists in the region.

In a post shared on Facebook, the Sheriff’s Office urged drivers to proceed with caution when navigating these roads. The festival’s high turnout, combined with the challenging weather conditions, contributed to the compromised road conditions, especially in the nearby campgrounds, which also saw adverse effects from the rain.

The Blount County Highway Department has been working diligently to address the issue, but drivers are still encouraged to stay alert and avoid the area if possible.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation and will provide updates as necessary. In the meantime, local residents and festival-goers are urged to remain cautious when traveling through the affected roads.
