MARYVILLE, Tenn. — The Blount County Sheriff’s Office is advising the public to prepare for significant traffic disruptions in the coming days as the Rock the Country Festival takes place at Maple Lane Farms in Greenback. The two-day event, set for Friday, April 25, and Saturday, April 26, is expected to draw a crowd of 12,000 to 15,000 attendees each day, according to event organizers.

Sheriff James Lee Berrong cautioned that traffic impacts in the vicinity of Maple Lane Farms, located at 1126 Maple Lane, will begin Thursday, April 24, and continue through Sunday, April 27. Deputies will be stationed at major intersections around the venue to help direct traffic and alleviate congestion. However, travelers can expect heavy delays, particularly on Friday and Saturday, as attendees arrive for the festival.

The festival’s schedule includes performances from major acts, with Nickelback headlining Friday’s events, which will conclude at 11 p.m. On Saturday, Kid Rock will bring the festival to a close with a performance slated to end at 11:20 p.m.

To manage the expected influx of traffic, deputies will be positioned along key routes including Henry Lane, Morganton Road, Maple Lane, Lambert Road, Gregory Road, and Meadow Road. These roads, which lead into the festival grounds, are likely to experience substantial traffic volume, particularly during peak arrival and departure times.

Motorists planning to travel in the area are advised to plan ahead for potential delays. Drivers are encouraged to consider alternate routes, especially on Friday and Saturday, when traffic is expected to be heaviest. Those attending the festival are advised to arrive early to avoid getting caught in the congestion.

The Blount County Sheriff’s Office is working closely with event organizers to ensure the safety of festival-goers and local residents alike. Authorities are reminding drivers to exercise patience and follow all traffic instructions provided by law enforcement officers during the event.

For more information, residents are encouraged to stay tuned for further updates from the Blount County Sheriff’s Office regarding traffic management and safety measures surrounding the festival.
