Sevierville, Tenn. – A brush fire that sparked Wednesday morning in Sevier County was quickly contained by local fire crews after burning between 30 and 40 acres. The fire, located near Red Bank Circle, was reported around 11:46 a.m. and was actively monitored by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture’s state wildfire tracking system.

By 2:30 p.m., emergency crews confirmed that the blaze had been contained. Fortunately, the fire, which primarily burned sagebrush, did not result in any structural damage. Firefighters from the Sevierville Fire Department, the Sevier County Wildland Task Force, and the Tennessee Department of Forestry were all involved in the response efforts.

While the fire was controlled, crews remained on-site to monitor the area for any potential flare-ups. Fire sensors were being set up as a precautionary measure to track any further activity in the region.

Authorities have praised the swift response and coordination between local and state agencies, ensuring that the fire was brought under control without major damage to nearby properties.
