MARYVILLE, Tenn. – A serious motorcycle crash resulted in the closure of Morganton Road at William Blount Drive Wednesday morning, as deputies with the Blount County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. The road was shut down around 8:30 a.m., and authorities are urging drivers in the area to find alternative routes.
According to the Blount County Sheriff’s Office, the crash involved a motorcycle, though further details remain scarce at this time. Marian O’Briant, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, confirmed to WVLT News that the male driver of the motorcycle was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment.
