Three Dead in Blount County House Fire

Blount County, Tenn. – A deadly house fire in Blount County has claimed the lives of three individuals. The fire occurred on Payne Hollow Road in Walland on Sunday night, shortly after 9 p.m. The bodies of the victims were recovered the following morning.

Blount County Sheriff James Lee Berrong confirmed the tragic incident, stating that local authorities, including the Blount County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO), the Alcoa Fire Department, and the Maryville Fire Department, are actively investigating the cause of the blaze as part of the Blount County Fire Investigation Team.

Blount County Fire Chief Doug McClanahan confirmed that three people died in the fire, although their identities have not yet been released. The bodies were transported to the Knox County Regional Forensic Center for further examination.

The investigation into the fire remains ongoing, and authorities have not disclosed additional details at this time. Officials are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The Blount County Sheriff’s Office continues to ask for patience as they gather more information. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
