Maryville, TN – A fatal car crash early Thursday morning along Clinton Highway claimed the lives of a man and a woman, according to the Knox County Regional Forensics Center.

The incident occurred near Bell Stanley Road, prompting a significant disruption as both east and westbound lanes of the highway were closed for several hours while emergency crews worked at the scene.

The identities of the victims have not yet been released by the medical examiner’s office.
