Knoxville, Tenn. – A 25-year-old woman was arrested on charges of driving under the influence (DUI) early Saturday morning after crashing her vehicle into an unoccupied building in Downtown Knoxville.
According to the Knoxville Police Department (KPD), officers responded to the scene in the 300 block of Gay Street around 3:00 a.m. Upon arrival, they found that the woman had lost control of her Jeep Wrangler, causing it to strike the structure. Fortunately, the building was unoccupied at the time of the crash, and no injuries were reported.
The woman was detained at the scene and later arrested for DUI. KPD did not report any additional details regarding the incident or the woman’s condition at the time of the crash. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the wreck.
