Maryville, Tenn. – Morganton Road at William Blount Drive was closed Wednesday morning following a serious motorcycle crash, according to the Blount County Sheriff’s Office. The road closure, which occurred around 8:30 a.m., caused significant traffic disruptions as deputies responded to the scene.
Authorities confirmed that the crash involved a motorcycle, though details about the incident remain limited at this time. Marian O’Briant, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office, told WVLT News that the motorcyclist, a male driver, was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment.
