KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – A man was taken into custody Tuesday night following a shooting and a brief police chase in the area of Kenner Avenue and Taylor Homes Road.
According to the Knoxville Police Department (KPD), officers responded to reports of gunshots around 7 p.m. Tuesday after an altercation between several individuals escalated. Thankfully, no one was injured in the shooting, and there were no reports of any victims being struck by gunfire.
Shortly after the shooting incident, officers located a vehicle believed to be involved. A brief pursuit ensued, but the driver was apprehended on foot after a short chase, KPD confirmed.
At this time, authorities have not released the identity of the arrested individual. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing, and further details will be provided as they become available.
