Knoxville, TN — A Knoxville man has been arrested after authorities identified him as the suspect in a robbery that occurred on December 23, as well as a second robbery in the same area. The Knoxville Police Department (KPD) took 18-year-old Tamores Harper into custody late Friday night near the Dollar General at 4112 Asheville Highway.

Harper is accused of robbing a 60-year-old woman at gunpoint near the Kroger store at 4414 Asheville Highway. According to the police, the suspect took the woman’s wallet before fleeing the scene on foot, heading toward the nearby Burlington Commons apartment complex.

In addition to the robbery involving the woman, Harper is also linked to a second robbery that occurred in the same vicinity. He faces multiple charges, including two counts of aggravated robbery and two counts of possession of a weapon during the commission of a dangerous felony.

The arrest marks a significant breakthrough in the investigation, and KPD continues to urge the public to come forward with any additional information related to the incidents.
