Maryville, TN – A driver for Greene County Solid Waste was killed in a crash Monday morning in Greeneville, according to the Greeneville Police Department.

The incident occurred around 9:22 a.m. on East McKee Street, near the intersection with Winchester Drive. The driver, later identified as Kenny Ricker, was traveling west when the truck, owned by Greene County Solid Waste, dropped off the edge of the roadway. After veering off, the vehicle reentered the road before rolling onto its passenger side. The truck then collided with a tree on the opposite side of the street.

Ricker, who was the sole occupant of the truck, did not survive the crash. The Greeneville Police Department is continuing to investigate the cause of the accident. No additional details have been released at this time.

The crash marks a tragic loss for both the community and Greene County Solid Waste, as Ricker was known for his work in the area. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the crash to come forward.
