Jefferson County, Tenn. – The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) is investigating a deadly crash that occurred on U.S. Highway 25/70 on Wednesday, April 2. The crash, which involved a motorcycle and two vehicles, claimed the life of 35-year-old Jeremy Arangio of Tennessee.

Troopers responded to the scene near Betty Lou Drive just after 3:00 p.m. Upon arrival, authorities determined that Arangio, the driver of a 2005 Kawasaki motorcycle, had attempted to pass a car when he collided head-on with another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. The impact caused a chain reaction, with a third vehicle, which had been following the motorcycle, also crashing.

Arangio, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other individuals involved in the accident were transported to a nearby hospital with injuries. Their conditions have not been disclosed, but authorities say they are expected to recover.

The THP is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash, including the speed of the vehicles involved and any contributing factors. No further details about the identities of the other individuals involved have been released as of yet.

Motorcycle safety remains a top concern for authorities, and THP urges all motorists to exercise caution, especially when passing other vehicles on busy highways.
