Knoxville, Tenn. — The intersection of Broadway and Oglewood Avenue has reopened following a vehicle crash that temporarily closed the area Monday night, according to the Knoxville Police Department (KPD).
The incident occurred around 11 p.m., when a vehicle crash resulted in a downed pole and damaged traffic light, leading to the closure of the intersection. Authorities reported that the crash caused non-life-threatening injuries, though the specifics of those involved were not immediately disclosed.
The KPD announced that the intersection was cleared and reopened Tuesday morning just after 6 a.m., allowing traffic to resume as usual. There were no further reports of delays following the reopening.
Motorists who had been affected by the closure are now able to return to their regular routes, with safety measures in place following the crash. The Knoxville Police Department thanked the public for their patience as they worked to address the incident and restore normal traffic flow.
