Body Found Behind West Knoxville Home, Investigation Underway

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Police Department (KPD) is investigating the discovery of a man’s body found behind a residence in West Knoxville on Wednesday afternoon.

According to KPD, the body was located behind a home in the 4900 block of Jonquil Drive. The circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear, and the cause of death has not yet been determined.

Authorities responded to the scene, and Crime Scene Technicians, along with personnel from the Medical Examiner’s Office, assisted in processing the area. KPD officials have stated that the investigation is ongoing, but further details have not been released at this time.

The police are asking anyone with information related to the case to come forward as they continue their investigation.
